You are so wise to appreciate your blessings while they are still under your roof together. They become even more precious to you as time moves forward and they move on to have their families and your blessings will multiply rapidly. I love you and your blog. My children all are out from under my roof now in places other than Oklahoma, but the memories fill every room and bring Ike and me so much joy and thankfulness for those busy and noisy days that God gave us. The house is quiet now, except when the multiplied group finds time for us all to be together under this same old roof! By the way, we keep the car in good shape for the many trips to enjoy life in their worlds and under their rooftops now.

I have only three but they are each so very different from the others. One boy and two girls but even the girls have very different personalities. I love and enjoy (most) of their differences. God knew 3 was my limit :) but I am so very grateful for and head over heels in love with my 3!

i don't have eight.. but i get the annoyance at what ppl have to say. i've had things said about how "easy" it must be having our kids spread out in age.. but yeah. like you said, they're PEOPLE! all so different. little souls and hearts that we're responsible to mold and shape and point to Christ. and there's NOTHING easy in that!!! and why we so need His grace and spirit leading us, and guiding us.

amazing how when God puts something on my heart, I start hearing it from EVERYWHERE!! :)

what a good and NEEDED read for me. i tend to be a little crazy ocd w/ the housework. never feeling i can "relax" until it's all done. thing is. it never is!! which means, one cranky, uptight, unrelaxed mama!! :( and i don't want to be that person.

God's been convicting me of this very thing - - to not let the urgent drown out the important.

and now a little one is stuck up under the kitchen table, crying. gotta fly~ :)

And I agree, the Michael Buble concert was a fun time. I laughed so hard and enjoyed myself so much. It's nice to do things like that with people who know you, and still really like you and just accept you for who you are. :)

Aww...yay for Ave! MISS that girl. And hooray for Chick-fil-A! I LOVE their fries and the twins LOVE their cookies-n-creme milkshake (I think they may become a tradition before our weekly non-stress tests. What better way to be "non-stressed"? ;).

i've been thinking along the same lines~ since my husband's love language is so not gift giving, etc. ;) i remind myself on days like this he shows his love a million different ways all year long!!
