Welcome to our home - where the toilet paper roll is always empty and the trash is always full. . .

I have grand aspirations for my children.

Grand.

Teaching them to Love God and His Word. Teaching them to love others. Teaching them to serve others and understand what is really important in life.

Some days I'm pretty sure I'm failing miserably. Like when they can't stop fighting, picking on each other, doing everything possible to irritate one another to the point of insanity.

But I'm pretty sure I would feel like I had finally arrived in the Mothering Hall of Fame if they would just change the roll of toilet paper when it runs out (instead of leaving it for ME) or take the initiative to empty the kitchen trash when it's overflowing onto the floor (about 3 times a day).

I'm just sayin' . . .

oh, how I needed to hear this today! :) I personally like when we get int he car after church and they tell me how they are learning to be kind to each other in one breath and in the next breath threaten to hit/kick/punch/tell on one another for touching/ looking at/ thinking about looking at or touching them. I just wanna yell, "can we have a little GRACE?!"

Just know this. I always read - even if I don't always comment. Lousy excuse I know. I can read with one hand though..... .you know the whole feed the baby with the other hand routine......

I know today's post was intended to be funny but I needed to hear that first part. I so needed to heart it. And I'm glad for the encouragement to hang in there. Love you.

We had just a conversation about this last week in our house. It was brought on after I read this: http://itsalmostnaptime.blogspot.com/2010/06/blessed-to-be-blessing.html
I can only imagine how things change when my husband and I aren't the only ones potty trained!

We can SO relate!

Thankful we are not the only ones in the toilet paper/trash saga!
