The Little People - They Were Darling

Friday night was homecoming at our beloved school. Daughter (#5), who is in Kindergarten, was the elementary attendant. She was beautiful, don't you think? And "not nervous a bit, Mom." Here she is before we left for school.
And here she is waiting outside of the gym with her escort. He was a very little guy, but she's tiny, herself, so it worked out just fine. They stood, arms hooked, for about 30 minutes before it was time to go in.

And here they are coming into the gym. She may not have been nervous, but I was! It was DARK! And there were LOTS of people watching. However, she was calm, cool and collected. Don't they look tiny?

There were lots of pictures, after. By this time, she was glassy eyed as it was an hour after her regular bedtime. She was quite a trooper.

We stayed for part of the high school boys game after. And let me just say, although I used to spend a lot of time at those games, when the Coach was coaching football AND basketball, it's been awhile. And it was loud. And crazy. And we won - go Crusaders!
Fun night. Fun memories.
This was our fourth time to have a child in homecoming as a Kindergartner. But I have a feeling it won't be our last time, as we have three more to go through Kindergarten, and eight to survive their high school years! Won't it be fun!

Awww... she really is a beautiful little girl! Were any of her cousins in the homecoming party? I think I might recognize one of two but it's not quite big enough for me to be sure. How fun!

Hey Karen!!! Your little girl looked so sweet. I'm sure that you and your coach were beaming with pride. Hey, if you don't mind I would love to have your e-mail address. Even though I only have 4 kiddos I have a TON of questions I would like to ask you. My address is "threelilsooners@sbcglobal.net".
Talk to you soon.
