In a moment of desperation to enjoy the last few days of Summer, the Coach and I loaded up the Troops and headed to the farm for the weekend.
Who could have known that the 106 temperatures would vanish, a cool breeze would arrive, and we would have a weekend with a little rain and highs in the low 90's.
Wow.
Granddad added a floating dock to the pond - and it was the highlight of the weekend. The kids would swim out there and then jump off. Climb back up, jump off. Repeat. Five hundred times.
So much fun.
In reality, I think it made coming home and getting ready for school a bit more depressing.
But at least we have the memories. . .

I LOVE the pictures! The movers are coming tomorrow so things are about to get crazy. Don't worry if I don't post a comment for a while. I'll be back! :)
Looks like GREAT memories! How nice that you were able to do that. When does school start for you? I FINALLY ordered my kids' uniforms! We start Sept. 2. I have very mixed feelings about that. :)

Oh my goodness. We start school on Monday and I am anything but ready. I think the kids are ready to start though so that helps. I am the big baby hold out!!

Looks like you guys had a great time. I'm sure getting away was nice.
Looks like a wonderful, peaceful place to be! How blessed you are! Looks like you had a wonderful time, the swimming sounds like my children would have been pleased as well! School...reluctant to have my summer end...must dust off the scheduling book and start looking at the schoolbooks...a few more weeks and then September! Enjoy!
I love it out in the country! This looks really relaxing! I'm glad you got to enjoy it one more time before school started. :)
